Mr. Jim Eadie (Eadie Land Co.) retained G. Douglas Vallee Limited as a Civil Engineer and Land Use Planner for the development of a large tract of land north of Highway 6 on the east side of Port Dover. Vallee successfully obtained draft plan approval and zoning amendments to facilitate the residential development. A series of servicing designs were completed, approved, and constructed for the phased development before Mr. Eadie passed away and his son, Colter, took over the development. The project was then taken over by Somerset Lands Inc., who have completed the development of nine phases in total.
Vallee’s designs include an array of single-family homes in concert with group townhouse blocks, parkland, and stormwater management ponds.
The final phase of development is nearing completion and contains a block that was purchased for the Black Creek Development, being Port Dover’s premiere site for prestige vacant land condominium living. Vallee is proud to be the consultant for Black Creek as well.
