G. Douglas Vallee Limited was retained by AtPlay Adventures as Architect, Structural and Civil Engineer, and Land Use Planner for their new luxury condominium development to replace an existing motel and mobile trailers. The project was appealed to the Ontario Municipal Board, and as a result, the project approach was revised to accommodate zoning restrictions.
The project consists of 18 luxury condominiums in the heart of the Long Point community. The architectural style mimics the Florida Keys resort style with a Norfolk County twist. The site is designed to address Lake Erie flooding conditions and is serviced by a state-of-the-art septic system in response to groundwater constraints. This luxury condominium development is a jewel of Long Point and a premier destination for Norfolk County.
The Bouck family has a multi-generational history as the original settlers of Long Point in Norfolk County. The family formed AtPlay Adventures to market their motel and the tourist experience in the Long Point area.
