Spanning the Nanticoke Creek in Haldimand County, the Nanticoke Bridge is a two-span, pre-stressed, pre-cast concrete girder bridge with an overall length of 30m. The reconstruction of the bridge, completed by Clearwater Structures, was a like-for-like replacement with abutments on bedrock, center pier cutwater, and a clever modification to a semi-integral design, which eliminated the former expansion joints.
The new structure features open railing and concrete end-walls with a stacked limestone bedrock aesthetic texture, as a reflection of its natural surroundings in the lakefront setting.
