G. Douglas Vallee Limited has been retained by HFW Holdings Ltd for land use planning, civil engineering, structural engineering and architectural services for their Queensway mixed-use development located on Queensway West and Hunt St in Simcoe, ON.
The proposed residential and commercial mixed-use development is comprised of 114 studio, one- and two-bedroom units above 2,714 square metres of leasable commercial space, as well as 38 three-storey townhomes, and six two-storey semi-detached units.
Our work on this exciting project, in addition to serving as the Architect, Civil/Site Engineer and Structural Engineer, includes the official plan and zoning amendments, severance and site plan applications.
This mixed-use development will provide more attainable housing types, continue to build upon the quality commercial space along Queensway West, and revitalize a brownfield site. As of late 2023, the amendments have been approved by Norfolk County Council and the project is in the pre-construction phase.
