G. Douglas Vallee Limited was retained by Mr. Ferman Mudford to provide Architectural, Structural Engineering and Civil/Site Engineering on the construction of the new Simcoe Toyota dealership.

In order for the existing dealership to remain operational and open to the public during construction, this project required a two-phase approach to minimize disruption and avoid unnecessary delays. Phase 1 was completed in early 2023, at which point the pre-existing dealership building was demolished to allow Phase 2 to commence. The Vallee structural department designed the project using primarily structural steel framing with braced and portal frames, and precast hollow-core concrete slabs for the mezzanine within the garage.

Working with Toyota’s corporate architect, Vallee has developed and overseen a well-designed and efficiently constructed addition to Norfolk County that officially opened in late 2023.
