In late 2023 and early 2024, the G. Douglas Vallee Limited Buildings division of our Structural Engineering department completed on-site structural reviews of the Henderson House and prepared the design and drawings for the upgrades to support a new display and exhibit in advance of the Bell Homestead National Historic Site‘s 150^th anniversary commemoration.

The modernization project within the Henderson House, which once served as the location of the first telephone company business office in Canada, involved structural reinforcements and repairs, as well as leveling of the three floor areas within the rear portion of the structure.
