  • Vallee in the Community: Holiday Donation

    As part of our mission to build better communities, we were honoured to present our annual donation to the The Salvation Army Simcoe Community Church‘s Christmas Hamper program this morning. This invaluable program partners with community-based organizations, service groups, and churches to ensure individuals and families throughout Norfolk County are supplied with the food needed to prepare a festive Christmas meal. Thank you to the volunteers, staff, and everyone involved with the Christmas Hamper program who help to build a better community!   • Project Award: Walter Gretzky Golf Course Maintenance Building

    We are proud to announce that Vallee has been selected by the City of Brantford to provide our consulting services on the demolition and reconstruction of the maintenance shop at Walter Gretzky Golf Course. Our work will include conceptual design, site plan approval, design development, and construction contract administration, and we’re honoured to be entrusted with this project to make a great local golf course even better.

    It’s official!

    We are proud to announce that Andrew Vallee has received his designation from Professional Engineers Ontario and is now a fully licensed Professional Engineer. As many others who have gone through the process themselves can attest, this is no small feat and requires an incredible amount of dedication and drive, which are two qualities Andrew unequivocally possesses and demonstrates on a daily basis in his work.

  • Vallee in the News: Norfolk councillors welcome Queensway redevelopment proposal

    A proposal for a mixed-use building to be built on Queensway West in Simcoe was well-received by Norfolk County councillors after G. Douglas Vallee Limited presented plans on behalf of HFW Holdings Limited at a recent public hearing committee meeting, adding further support to the development.     Our very own Director of Structural Engineering, Ryan Elliott, spoke to Rotary Club of Norfolk Sunrise last week in hopes of garnering some support for the future development of the Cst.   • Vallee in the News: Heritage building could be saved, engineer says

    After a Smiths Falls heritage building destroyed by fire earlier this month was initially recommended to be demolished, Vallee’s Ryan Elliott, P.Eng., BDS, C.E., was called in to provide an inspection and a second opinion. Read more about his findings and the results here.

  • Vallee In The News: New housing development proposed for Waterford

    G. Douglas Vallee Limited proposed a new residential project was presented to Norfolk County councillors on Tuesday on behalf of Verlinda Homes. Silos of Waterford, a 272-unit housing development, has been proposed for the former agricultural depot at West Church and McCool Streets and includes plans for single-family homes, single-storey, studio and one-bedroom units, as well as some accessory dwellings.   • Project Award: Ann & East Streets

    We are honoured to have been awarded the full reconstruction of Ann and East Streets in Delhi by Norfolk County. The design phase is scheduled to be completed this year and construction is scheduled to begin in 2024, including the removal of the railway bridge over East Street.
